In his role, Ravi Sandepudi will drive efforts to build SME-centric suite of offerings at ClearTax while also holding the baton for its fintech initiatives.
ClearTax – tax and fintech solutions provider – has on-boarded Ex-Google and Paypal veteran Ravi Sandepudi as its Entrepreneur-in-Residence. In his role, Sandepudi will drive efforts to build a SME-centric suite of offerings while also leading ClearTax's fintech initiatives.
An alumnus of BITS-Pilani and with a stint at The Wharton School (University of Pennsylvania), Ravi has previously spearheaded engineering at Simility, an end-to-end fraud and decisioning platform. He set up Simility's Hyderabad and London offices and served as the acting GM of EMEA operations. The startup was subsequently acquired by PayPal, following which Ravi was a director at Paypal and worked on its Privacy Platform and the launch of payments services in China. Before Simility, he was also associated with Google between 2007 and 2014 in key roles at the tech giant's Trust & Security wing.
Archit Gupta, Founder and CEO, ClearTax said, "At ClearTax, we are spearheading India's digital future of easy-to-use services through our strong tech focus. We continue to focus on our mission to simplify complex tasks such as income tax filing, GST compliance and investing into an automated and convenient process; we have some exciting launches lined up in the near future. ClearTax has experienced robust growth to date and we are confident that Ravi's involvement will further scale the business to new highs."
